  1. I have added the option to pay by bank transfer to my shopping cart system.

The bank transfer option is for UK customers only. You just place your order, selecting bank transfer as the payment option, and I will be in touch with my bank details for you to arrange payment. Payment must be made within 24 hours of my receiving your order.

I'm afraid I don't take cheques or postal orders.

  2. Come melt with me!

I've decided to take a limited number of bookings for lampwork lessons for dates from January 18th until May 31st 2016.

This tuition will take place in my shed in Cambridge. It is a shed, not a fancy studio or one of those swanky home office posh-sheds. It's just a shed. I have an oxygen-propane set-up; a Carlisle Mini CC and an oxygen concentrator. I work with 104 COE glass. No borosilicate.

I'm happy to teach complete beginners - we'd go through glass and safety basics, pull some stringer and make some basic beads, and maybe even play with some frit. Or if you have basic beadmaking skills and you'd like a few tips on encasing or shaping or, well, making any of the kinds of beads you've seen me make, then we can do that too. Sort of intermediate skills, I guess.

For total beginners I always reckon that about five hours is a good amount of time. There's a lot to take in and your brain can get tired, as well as your arms. So a beginner's day course would be £125.00.

For intermediate beadmakers looking to further their skills, I charge £25.00 an hour and you can decide how many hours of tuition you'd like.

I'll provide tea, coffee, squash (I love squash) and biscuits but you'll need to bring a packed lunch with you.

I'm only offering one-to-one tuition as my shed just isn't big enough for more than two people.

I will require a 50% non-refundable deposit at the time of booking with the balance payable on the day of your tuition. I can take deposits via PayPal or bank transfer and the balance can be paid the same way, or with cash on the day.

If you'd like to come and melt glass with me then please contact me and we can work out a date and times to suit us both.
