IMPORTANT: This listing is for a single headpin. If you order more than one, you will not end up with a matching pair. This is due to the slight variation in size, shape and general matchiness of the glass components. Please check my other headpin listings for available matching headpin pairs.
This headpin is made with an inverted teardrop of of yellow-orange glass that I've dusted with bright red enamel.
The wire is half hard sterling silver.
The wire has been carefully secured into the glass end component with high quality and very strong two part epoxy. Making the headpin in this way, as opposed to melting the glass straight onto the wire, means I have more control over the glass in the flame and it also means that there are no compatibility issues between the wire and the glass.
Wire gauge: 22 (0.64mm)
Wire length: 2.5 inches (63mm)
Glass component dimensions: Approximately 10mm diameter and about 15.5mm long
All glass components are kiln annealed
Note: Although I have captured the beads' colours as best as I can, different screen and monitor settings vary and as such the colours of the beads may appear slightly different in real life than they do on your computer or device. In particular, Apple devices tend to ramp up the reds so please bear this in mind when viewing beads that are red, pink, purple etc.
