This pair of headpins are made with balls of pale spearminty green glass that I've dusted with light purple enamel for a two-tone speckled effect.
The wires are half hard sterling silver.
The wires have been carefully secured into the glass end components with high quality and very strong two part epoxy. Making the headpins in this way, as opposed to melting the glass straight onto the wire, means I have more control over the glass in the flame and it also means that there are no compatibility issues between the wire and the glass.
Wire gauge: 22 (0.64mm)
Wire length: 2.5 inches (63mm)
Glass component dimensions: Approximately 10mm diameter
All glass components are kiln annealed
Note: Although I have captured the beads' colours as best as I can, different screen and monitor settings vary and as such the colours of the beads may appear slightly different in real life than they do on your computer or device. In particular, Apple devices tend to ramp up the reds so please bear this in mind when viewing beads that are red, pink, purple etc.
