Back to the jewellery...
These earrings are made with a pair of little Lustre Dapple beads. These beads are transparent pale aquamarine coated in fine frit (crushed up glass) which gives a mottled effect. As a final step they were reduced in a propane-rich flame which creates a metallic lustre on the surface of the glass. The frit used was blue but the reduction process has turned it various shades of green and blue-grey. Very pretty and very shiny.
The first two photographs were taken indoors in natural daylight and the third and fourth pictures show the earrings outdoors in the sunshine.
The lampwork beads are approximately 9mm diameter.
These little earrings are extremely light, weighing only one gram each, so they are very easy to wear.
The beads hang from stainless steel rings which in turn hang on hypoallergenic surgical steel earwires.
All glass beads are kiln annealed.
Presented in a cotton gift bag.
Note: For hygiene reasons, earrings cannot be returned.
