This bracelet is made in the 'Byzantine' weave.
I used pure copper jump rings for this one so it has a nice heft to it. The bracelet is about 6mm thick and is 7 3/4 inches long so it is a comfortable fit for a seven inch wrist.
The bracelet fastens with a pure copper lobster clasp.
There is a thinking that wearing copper may have potential health benefits and it has long been believed by some that the wearing of it next to skin may help ease symptoms of certain conditions such as arthritis. I'm not a doctor or a healer so I have no idea if this is true, therefore I'm not selling this bracelet as a magical cure for anything.
Copper can react with the skin, particularly with sweat or if you're wearing some kind of lotion, and this can create a dark greenish discoloration on the skin but this is totally harmless and can be easily removed with soapy water.
There are a choice of finishes for this bracelet and they are as follows:
Shiny copper (photo 1) - this will naturally darken over time but you can bring it back to a bright and shiny finish by soaking the bracelet in vinegar with some salt mixed in.
Shiny copper sealed with Reniassance Wax - I can apply a couple of coats of micro-crystalline Renaissance Wax to the bracelet to slow down (but not stop) the darkening process but please note this will eventually wear off and you might want to apply more wax. The wax will provide a thin barrier between the metal and your skin so if you're wanting a copper bracelet for its potential health benefits, or that can be easily cleaned back to its shiny state, opt for the unwaxed version.
Patina (photo 2 and 3) - I can apply a patina to the bracelet to give it an already-aged and darkened finish. This works particularly well with the Byzantine bracelet as it really shows off the pattern and texture of the weave. The patina will not affect any potential health benefts of the copper bracelet.

Please select which finish you'd like using the dropdown menu.
Need a different size? I'm happy to make this bracelet in a different length so please do get in touch if you'd like me to custom make you one. I will need to know your wrist measurement - either use a tape measure to measure the circumference of your wrist, or a strip of paper which you can mark and then measure against a ruler.
